Barcelona. Catalonia. Spain. Ali Dannoun. He was born in Barcelona, Spain. His father is Ahmad Ibrahim Dannoun from Beit Taamar a village near Bethlehem. He went first into exile in Kuwait in 1964. In 1969 came to Spain with his cousin. He returned to Palestine in 1994 with his wife Rashida Ahmad Al Harrak, also Palestinian and their two children Ali and Nabil. He doesn't have the Spanish nationality. He always has to apply for visa when he goes to Palestine and come back to Spain, with all the problems that entails. Both of them, he and his brother, speak arabic fluently.

He studied Economy and Business Management in th Zaragoza University. He's working in Amman, Jordan as an account manager. He speaks arabic fluently and also spanish (mother tongue), english, deutsch and italian. -

His family stayed in Palestine and he came to Spain circa 1967 but he lost his ID because he couldn't update the papers. The mother of Laith, Abu- Sharar is also Palestinian. He has a younger sister, Natalia. Both of them speak, read and write arabic fluently. They also have Palestinian ID. He tries to go to visit his family in Palestine at least once a year.

He is from Shu3fat (Shu'fat), Al Quds (Jerusalem). He came to Spain in 1966 to study medicine and couldn't go back. In the early 20s his father, Abdel Hamid Mohammed Abu-Khdeir, traveled to the Canary Islands and stayed and got married with Antonia Vega Alejandro a Spanish-Guanche from La Palmas. After some years there, they went back to Jerusalem. Mahmud's wife, Elisa Granados Orcero is Spanish. His oldest and only son is David Abu-Khdeir Granados, a nurse at a hospital. Mahmud got the Spanish nationality in 2006 – even though his mother was spanish but couldn't prove it before as his birth certificate was burnt during the war. Her fayher was after to go back to visit their family in 2017, after 43 years in the diaspora. Maysun has been working as a visual journalist for more than 17 years and has documented the story of her family through her long term project "The Long Journey Home" that will see the light as a book. She has also been years working on another long term project about the Palestinian identity in the world called "To Exist is to Resist" as a way to understand her own Identity and as a moral duty. None of them, Maysun and David learnt Arabic as children, even though Maysun has been learning as a result of her work in Middle East.
