Arrested in 1998 by the Myanmar Military Intelligence accused of writing and distributing of an illegal letter about Labour Rights and Force Labour.Tortured physical and psychologically, prevented from sitting down, eating and drinking as a way of torture. Isolated into shadows and silence. Judged in a fake trial with no defence to 14 years in Insein Central Prison in Rangoon under the number MMY-000124. She was released on 2009 and escaped the country to Thailand for continuous threatening. MAYSUN

Her husband was a political leader.The military Intelligence went to their house looking for him but as they didn't find him they took Ma Le and her 2 year-old baby instead of him. She was arrested in July 1999 by the Myanmar Military Intelligence. The baby was released 2 months later and raised with his grandparents. She wasn't allow to see him until 3 years later. She was tortured physically and psychologically, prevented from sitting down, eating and drinking as a way of torture. Isolated into shadows and silence. Judged in fake court with no defence and condemned to 10 years under the detainee number MMY-001465 in Bago Prison first and after in Insein Central Prison in Rangoon. She was released on 2009. She was about to suicide herself but didn't give up and escaped the country to Thailand for continuous threatening to her and her family. Her husband abandoned her and escaped to US where he married another woman and had 3 children. Each time she tries to call he hangs the phone. She says that as long she has two feet and two hands she can work and survive. MAYSUN

She participated in the 1990 election organization for the NLD. Arrested in November 1990 by the Myanmar Military Intelligence for printing and distributing a memorial book against the Regime commemorating the 7th July 1962' massacre where more than 300 students were assassinated my the Police. Tortured physically (she was raped) and psychologically, prevented from sitting down, eating and drinking as a way of torture. Isolated into shadows and silence. Judged in fake court with no defence and condemned to 2 years in Pathein Prison. She was released in May 1992. Her husband, Min Zaw, was a student of the University and also a Comander in the Kayan Guerrilla. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi attender their wedding and, since she was not allowed to meet with ethnic groups the Junta wanted to arrest Kyi Kyi Khin again, but she and her husband escaped to the jungle for two years and a half. After, in 1998 with her 1'5 year-old baby she escaped to Pathein but she was arrested. Her husband escaped to Thailand with the baby. She was released in 2004 and ran away to Thailand where he met again with her husband. Her baby was already 6 year-old when she met him again for the first time. MAYSUN
